Eligibility Rules for REBEL Renegade Games
Team Requirements
- Team Composition:
- Each team must have at least 2 men and 2 women.
- 1 reserve male and 1 reserve female per team.
- Reserve athletes can be changed until May 19, 2025.
- Gym Affiliation:
- All team members must train primarily at the same gym (same physical location) from February 1, 2025.
- The goal is to determine the fittest gym, not an all-star team.
- Multiple teams can come from the same gym, but athletes cannot switch teams.
- Training Requirements (More Than Half Rule):
- Athletes must train at their designated gym more than half of their weekly sessions.
- Minimum training days at the team gym:
- 4 days/week if training 6-7 days/week.
- 3 days/week if training 4-5 days/week.
- Training consistency is evaluated weekly, not averaged over the season.
- Proof of Compliance:
- Athletes must provide a detailed training log with date and time-stamped photos as proof if requested.
- Failure to provide proof may result in disqualification.
- Special Cases:
- Gym trainers must personally train at the gym to compete for its team.
- Gym owners (Licensee of Record – LOR) must compete for their own affiliate.
- If an affiliate opens after February 1, 2025, its LOR cannot compete for another team.
- Multi-location gyms: Each location registers its own team, athletes cannot mix locations.
Individual Athlete Eligibility
- Athletes must live, work, or hold residency in Africa, UAE, or Gulf Countries.
- If an athlete holds citizenship in these regions, they are eligible regardless of residence (must provide proof).
- If an athlete works or resides in these regions since January 1, 2025, they are eligible (must provide proof).
- If eligibility is unclear, athletes must provide supporting documents.
